Refund Policy

RJStory bills in credits and reserves the price of a render before any paid step. How a render is settled depends on its outcome.

Failed render

If no video is delivered, the full reserve is returned to your balance automatically. You are not charged for a render that does not produce a reel.

Degraded or partial render

Some renders are delivered in a degraded or partial form - for example with fewer scenes than planned - because an AI provider rejected or could not complete part of the job. A delivered video (including a degraded one) is marked as such and the credits are charged, because a usable reel was produced. If you believe a degraded result had little or no value, contact us for manual review (see below).

Our render costs vs. your credits

The cost of the AI providers RJStory calls is capped per video by internal render cost controls and is separate from the credits you pay. That cost is ours, not a charge to you. A successful reel uses the published base-plus-block formula and never costs more than the maximum price you selected. Retries and fallback do not change your price.

Manual review

If you think a charge is wrong - a delivered video that is broken, a double charge, or a payment that did not add credits - email info@rjstory.io with your account email and the approximate time. We review individually and refund credits where a charge was not matched by a usable result.

Credit refunds and unused credits

Credits are prepaid store value for renders, not a cash deposit. Automatic refunds for failed renders are returned as credits to your balance. Refunds of a credit purchase back to your original payment method are handled case by case through the manual-review path above and, where applicable, through the payment processor. Do not file a card chargeback before contacting us - we can usually resolve billing issues faster directly.
